Syrah (or Shiraz) Grape Variety
At home in the northern Rhone in France this grape is now widely grown in many of the New World regions, particularly in Australia. It is growing in popularity in Argentina both as a single varietal and for blending. Syrah is typified by its deep colour and its black fruit, spicy, peppery flavours, often with vegetal notes and hints of chocolate. Full bodied, medium acidity with medium/high tannin.
