Vicien - Bonarda Reserve 2005

Produced in the province of Catamarca at over 4,900 feet above sea level. Grapes are allowed to dry partially on the vine before harvest. Unfiltered, with 28.13 g/l of dry extract, it is intense and full. Red berries dominate this wine. Six months in French oak barrels assure further complexity.

An example where a very unusual environment (VERY dry, stressed vineyards combined with the Andean climate with marked temperature differences between day and night) has overrun the typical varietal character. Like the other VICIEN wines it is an experience not to be missed.
