Red Wine Finder

Pampas Wines are specialist importers of Argentinian wines from niche boutique wineries. Choose from our fantastic selection of red wines below:

Pietro Marini Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

On the nose there are strong aromas of liquorice and raspberry that continue on the tongue, mingling with the flavours of cassis, vanilla, blackberry, and raspberry. Soft and rounded tannins give it a finish that will have you coming back for another glass. Excellent when paired with lamb, it's also a wine whose robust body will stand up to the accompaniment of spicy foods.

Pietro Marini Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah Roble 2013

An intense red colour that catches the eye. Spiced fruits and red peppers fill the mouth, while the Syrah portion of the blend brings strong tannins and a smooth roundness. Oak ageing achieves a greater complexity.

Pietro Marini Malbec 2014

Slightly woody on the nose, El Transito has created a wine with with a subtle flavour that seasoned Malbec drinkers will appreciate and find refreshingly new. As well as the usual notes of  vanilla and blackberry, there's a note of plums, and a vaguely mineral flavour present which marks it out from the rest of the crowd

Pietro Marini Malbec Rosado 2017

El Transito's Malbec Rosado is a Rosé that stands out from its counterparts on other continents. On the nose there are delicate aromas of rose petals, vanilla custard, and a strong strawberry note that continues on the tongue. Remarkably refreshing in the mouth, there are flavours of strawberry, hints of mango and honey, and a clean, crisp finish with notes of lemon peel.

Pietro Marini Malbec Tardio 2016

On the nose there's cassis, figs, and prunes. In the mouth it displays an intensity and sweetness that intermingles with the dark fruit without ever feeling cloying. A woody finish adds finesse to a wine that will, on first sip, have you coming back for more. We recommend it as a winter aperitif or for drinking on a summer afternoon.

Pietro Marini Malbec/Cabernet Sauvignon Roble 2013

An eminently drinkable blend of 70% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon gives a wine with a smooth finish. Born from the high, dry terroir of the Calchaqui Valley, 1750 metres above sea level, this blend has also picked up a light coffee flavour from its oak ageing. In the mouth there's the flavour of black fruits and mild, mature tannins.

Pietro Marini Tannat 2017

On the nose there are scents of ripe autumnal berries and just a hint of warm winter spices. On the tongue it's remarkably smooth, with a fresh flavour of plum jam and red fruits, and a hint of liquorice in its finish. As the nights draw in and get colder, this is the perfect accompaniment to beef dishes, or for simply savouring as you sit by a roaring fire.
