Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic international grape variety that responds extremely well to the climate and soil of Argentina.

The typical flavours of Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon are blackcurrant, mintiness and a suggestion of green pepper. If the wines have been oaked, these flavours can be supplemented by a hint of vanilla and suggestions of chocolate, coffee and other spices on the aftertaste. High in tannin and acidity, with careful winemaking and barrel ageing, Cabernet Sauvignon can produce some of the longest-living and intriguing reds Argentina has to offer.

We currently offer 6 Cabernet Sauvignons and 6 blended wines which include Cabernet Sauvignon.  You might like to compare and contrast unoaked Pietro Marini Cabernet Sauvignon, a complex, fruit-driven Cabernet from high altitude terroir in Salta with Camelo Patti Cabernet Sauvignon, a Bordeaux-like wine with a sense of elegance and depth from the prestigious Perdriel district of Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza.

You can find out more about our Cabernet blends by ticking the Blends box on the LHS of our Red Wines page - these are very popular with many of our customers.
