We have been enjoying our new whites as Spring turns to Summer.

NQN Picarda 15 is a white blend from 2012.  The NQN winery takes its name from one of the ancient highways that cross Patagonia's arid landscape. This blend (55% Chardonnay, 40 % Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Pinot Noir) has aromas of tropical fruit and pink grapefruit and on the palate there is a  touch of apple and pineapple from the Chardonnay.  We think you will love this young and lively wine that is fresh and crisp on the palate with a dry finish.

We have been wowed by Bodega Tapiz's Sauvignon Blanc 2012. This is a fresh young wine from Mendoza with an exotic and long finish.  On the palate, classic citrus combines with herbal notes: rue, fresh cut grass and white asparagus. We consider this wine has impressive elegance.

Alternatively, our stylish and well balanced Pietro Marini Torrontes 2011 from Salta has been featured among Tim Atkin's top 10 white wines from Argentina and awarded 92 points.  This is a dry, intense and well balanced wine with an attractive acidity to give freshness and vitality.  Flavours of citrus and apple have notes of stone fruit (peach and apricot) on a long and gentle finish.
