If ever there was a wine made to be partnered with meat, it's Carmelo Patti's 2007 Cab Sav, a bottle that's just crying out to share a juicy steak with you. A full-bodied wine with real finesse, scents of red and green peppers and woodsmoke continue to unfold on the tongue. Beautifully-rounded, and with some of the smoothest tannins you'll taste this side of the Equator, it's not as fruity as it's European counterparts, but that works in its favour. This is a truly singular wine. Good to drink now or, if you have a far stronger will than us, to cellar up to 2020. (Alcohol Volume 13.7%)
