Patagonia (Neuquen and Rio Negro) is the most southerly of all South America’s wine-making regions. The combination of the cool climate, chalky soil and the area’s long, warm ripening season makes Patagonia ideal for the production of good quality white wine, especially Torrontés and Sémillon. Pinot Noir also thrives in this climate.
