When you think of Argentinian Malbec you tend to think of big, bold, South American heavy hitters, but the Argana Malbec Reserve 2019 is far more European in its elegant flavour and structure. After a 14 month ageing, well-honed notes of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, and in particular cherry, create a wine that feels like an Argentinian take on Amarone. It's a Malbec that still has the postcards from Verona in its pocket.
We're always trying to find the new, surprising, and nuanced in Argentina's wines, and we've found all three in this creation by master winemaker, Rubén Arroyo. A bottle of this mini masterpiece comes highly recommended by the Pampas Wines team.
