Merlot keeps popping in and out of fashion so regularly that it no longer matters whether if drinking it is de rigeur, as long as you're enjoying it. And if you haven't reacquainted yourself with the grape in a while then re-introduce yourself with the Argana Merlot 2020. Argana takes its winemaking seriously, with highly selective harvests of only the best grape clusters, and this attention to detail shows in the glass: jolly scents of raspberry and green herbaceous snippets sit atop that deep, smooth, comforting well of mocha and plum.
You may have tried Argentinian Merlots from your supermarket. Sorry, but in our opinion, they just don't make the grade. Far too often they're "off the peg" while Argana's Merlot is closer to bespoke. A true tailoring of the grape, with robust Argentinian style. In the glass, this is one Merlot that is perennially on trend.
