Argana Varietales Malbec 2014

A firm red wine with very intense violet tones. Argana's Malbec has a fruity aroma of rich dark berries, typical of the country's most famous grape.

Grown in San Rafael, Mendoza, Argana harvests its grapes by hand and subjects them to a carefully managed fermentation process, which includes a pre-fermentative cold maceration to unlock the aromatic compounds in the skin.

7 months in oak barrels brings out the vanilla flavours of the Malbec grape, producing a firm red wine with very intense violet tones. Argana's Malbec has a fruity aroma of rich dark berries, typical of the country's most famous grape. On the tongue there are ripe, balanced tannins, and flavours of plum, blackcurrant, and rich leathery notes. The kind of wine which demands a top-up.

Argana - Bogeda Argana

Established by Ruben Arroyo and his late father Raul, the Argana complex is located in San Rafael, a southern oasis high in the province of Mendoza, the main wine region of Argentina. Argana's vineyards are irrigated with meltwater from Atuel River, and the mild autumns allow for a later harvest than most.
