Carmelo Patti Cabernet Franc 2015

On the nose there are strong aromas of strawberry and blackcurrant, delicate notes of tobacco, and the barest hints of oak. In the mouth there are smooth, strong flavours of cassis and liquorice, impressively soft tannins, and a long pleasant finish on the tongue. Wonderful drink now, it can also be cellared for 3-5 years to improve even further with age.
Alc. 13.5%

Much requested by Carmelo Patti's fans, we're extremely proud to bring the master vintner's Cabernet Franc to the UK and to your glass. Fresh-flavoured, rich and full-bodied in the mouth, the 2015 Cabernet Franc is a testament to Carmelo's approach to 'naked' wines that eschew huge, heavily oaked wines. Naturally made, without chemicals or additives, and using only native yeast, it is a wine of one of Argentina's master viticulturist.

Carmello Patti - Bodega Carmelo Patti

Carmelo Patti has been making wine for over forty years and is one of the most respected winemakers in the Argentine wine world. He runs his small boutique winery in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza and produces about 20,000 litres per year using Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. He runs every element of the operation himself with all the care and artistry of a master craftsman. He will not sell the wine until he deems it ready for release, usually at least 4-5 years after harvest, with at least 3 of those years in bottle.
