Pedro Moises 2011

On the nose there are scents of sweet red fruits and vanilla, while on the tongue the flavours of wood, pepper, and purple fruits give way to a sweeter finish that refreshes the palette.

A blend of Malbec, Tannat, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, this is an intensely dark wine with a depth of flavour to match. On the nose there are scents of sweet red fruits and vanilla, while on the tongue the flavours of wood, pepper, and purple fruits give way to a sweeter finish that refreshes the palette. A delightful wine that shows off the best of the best of the terroir of the Salta region.

Pedro Moises - Bodega El Transito

At the begining of 2012 Tim Atkin, Master of Wine and award winning journalist, tasted over five hundred wines from Argentina.  One of the wineries that impressed him greatly was Bodega El Transito located in Cafayate, at over 6,000 feet, in the north-western province of Salta.  He includes this in his ten wineries to watch and he also rates the wines particularly highly.

The roots of the El Transito winemaking tradition stretch back to the end of the nineteenth century when the current owner's great grandfather, Pietro Marini, emigrated from Italy and settled in Cafayate.  The tradition has been handed down and is now in its fourth generation, in the very capable hands of Andrés Nanni.

We are delighted to introduce you to the Pedro Moises and Pietro Marini wine brands.
